23. Jerry Seinfeld

You don’t even have to like Seinfeld or ever have seen an episode to know that it still stands as one of the greatest television shows ever made, despite being a series that centered only around the fictionalized version of Jerry Seinfeld and the daily goings on of his life.

As a master of observational humor who makes a point of staying very far away from politics, Seinfeld would be a refreshing voice on late night. By keeping the conversation away from the current circus that is the presidential election, it wouldn’t be hard for Seinfeld to herd viewers to his version of The Late Show.

Consider The Late Show with Jerry Seinfeld just a few steps up from Seinfeld’s current gig, Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee. He’ll do the same exact thing, with the exception that he’ll remain stationary the whole time … in a studio … and the coffee will be brought directly to him.

Otherwise, same thing.

Obviously, Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee would be one of the inaugural sketches on the late night talk show, allowing Seinfeld to continue doing his own thing while also doing CBS’ thing. It’s a win-win for everybody.
