27. Neil Patrick Harris

People really like Neil Patrick Harris. Just look at how many times he’s hosted awards shows; he’s hosted the Tony’s, the Emmy’s, and the Academy Awards, and it has everything to do with what a likeable guy he has and how easily he slips into the role of entertainer as if it’s nothing. Technically, yes, it’s his job, but he’s obviously pretty good at it.

While his main shtick is comedy, as best seen in his highly-regarded performance on all nine seasons of How I Met Your Mother, Neil Patrick Harris is a talented performer with a range of tricks up his sleeve. Maybe The Late Show With Neil Patrick Harris is a bit of a mouthful, but at least you won’t get bored during one of his monologues.

As the former host of the short-lived Best Time Ever variety show on NBC, it may seem like Neil Patrick Harris lacks the focus to become a late night talk show host, but that doesn’t mean he lacks the depth. All he needs is a team of writers and a platform, and boom!, CBS could have something really special on its hands. People will love seeing Barney Stinson on their screens again.

And seriously, he’s already proven he looks really good in a suit.
