1. Arsenio Hall

As they say, third time’s the charm.

In 1989, The Arsenio Hall Show premiered to much success, until lo and behold the show’s ratings started to suffer when two major late night competitors emerged on the scene and ended up being runaway successes. As it so happens, those late night competitors were Jon Stewart and David Letterman.

Apparently, the late night talk show pool is a little on the small side.

Considering that neither Jon Stewart nor David Letterman are current hosts on television anymore, now would be a perfect time for Hall to make another comeback. He tried in 2013, but the timing wasn’t right. Hall currently hosts ABC’s Greatest Hits, but he’s better than that.

A decade or two ago, Hall’s trajectory was right on course to becoming a late night legend. Honestly, depending on who you ask, he’s as iconic as anyone else.

Despite the amount of time that has elapsed since he was popular, his talking points on The Late Show wouldn’t differ that greatly from his previous works when one stops to consider how relevant the topic of race relations currently is in America 2k16.

Late night needs his charm and comedy back, so the petition starts here, America.

Bring back Arsenio Hall.
