21. OJ Simpson

By now, if you haven’t heard the story of OJ Simpson, you’re just being willfully ignorant. It was recently brought back to the forefront of the public’s mind by a stellar 30 for 30 documentary titled, “OJ: Made In America”. SNL has poked fun at OJ and his farce of a trial over the years, but before the white Bronco incident occurred, Simpson hosted SNL in Season 3 of the show.

It featured some solid sketches involving Babe Ruth and promises to a dying child and OJ as a UN Ambassador. Unfortunately, Simpson was just outshined by newcomer Bill Murray. It was utterly unremarkable in every single way possible.

There were some solid laughs, but nothing to really write home about.
