25. Deion Sanders
Deion Sanders arguably has the most accurate nickname in the history of sports: “Primetime”. Sanders was a defender made for the spotlight, his do-rag flapping in the wind as he blanketed the opposition’s top wide receivers. Unfortunately for Primetime, he went a little too self-promotional during his Season 20 appearance.
Sanders spoofed the album he released in 1994, somewhat arrogantly named “Prime Time”. He attempted to rap, and “Simple Rappers” isn’t awful, but the stage was completely stolen by the late, great Chris Farley accidentally mooning the camera in a different skit.
It’s not that Sanders was complete garbage, he was simply underwhelming and in an era where SNL was completely dominated by the cast.
