3. Jimmy Fallon and Billy Joel Sing ‘Beast of Burden’

Jimmy Fallon is arguably at his best when he has a guest who can match his off-the-charts energy, or when he’s joined by someone with musical talent. Fallon, like Adam Sandler before him, made a name for himself on Saturday Night Live thanks to his talent with a guitar and his chameleon of a voice. When musical legend Billy Joel made his appearance on The Tonight Show this week, the crowd was treated to not one, not two, but three performances. The first performance had Joel, along with Fallon and The Roots, singing “Beat of Burden” by The Rolling Stones. Joel later sang “Scenes From an Italian Restaurant,” plus a bonus impromptu Doo-Wop session with Fallon and his second guest J.K. Simmons.
